Background:
His father was the commander of the personal guard of a prominent Senator. His mother died while giving birth to him. He has no, brothers or sisters. At his father's urging he entered the Academy to become an officer in the Legion.
After the first year he realized the soldier's life was not for him, so he transferred to the Engineering Division despite his father's objections. While he was there, he excelled in his studies and participated in the Academy's sporting events. He was particularly good in the hand to hand combat matches and more often than not he won them.
In his fourth year he was competing in the combat finals and looked as if he would win them all, until he was pitted against a younger female classmate. He had no doubts as to the outcome of the contest until she surprised him with a wicked reverse kick and shattered his left knee.
He still carries the scar and the memory of that most beautiful and dangerous woman. At the conclusion of his term at the academy he graduated with honors. His father still hasn't forgiven him.
