Physical Description:

Saren is a run of the mill Romulan. His height and weight are average. He has a very militant attitude along with perfect posture. He is well groomed and his hair is worn in the traditional Romulan fashion. Saren has a slight muscular build received from training to be an Imperial Marine, as is his dream.

Saren has spent his life trying to live up to his brothers expectations. After Tareks death, Saren believed he had to fill his brothers shoes and became a marine. Here some of the things Tarek tought Saren came through. Saren is a Zealot pertaining to the Empire and the sovereignty of the Praetor. It is his belief that to die for the honor of the Empire is the greatist act of loyalty. He is a fast learner and fast on his feet. He remains very athletic and enjoys a challenge.

Background:

Saren grew up in a common family of the Empire. he lived with his father, mother, and older brother in there family home in the capital city. His father had little time or intrest in parenting, instead kept politicing to make a name for himself in the lower levels of government.

Saren looked to his older brother as a guide and mentor. Tarek was 5 years Sarens senior and through most of there childhood and teens, were inseperable. The brothers would often find themselves engaged in games of strenght and skill. This left Saren with a strong sence of competition and a need to accell at all things he did. The time came for Tarek to leave his home and become his own man. Tarek joined the Imperial Marines to seek glory for the Empire and the Praetor. Saren became more isolated after Tarek left making him more and more alienated from his father and inept mother. The brothers stayed in contact with each other. Tarek would tell Saren about all the different adventures he had been on. One day the communications stopped. Saren thought Tarek was on a secret mission and could not have his wearabouts known. Saren would soon get his answer. On returning from the market one day he saw two marine officers leaving his home. He quickly ran to the home expecting to hear Tarek sent word. Upon entering he saw his father in the entryway. Saren asked how Tarek was, his father replied "he's dead". The force of those words hit with that of a photon torpedo. "He gave his life for the Empire, that is the greatest thing he could have done" his father said. Tarek was killed in a terrorist attack at a marine base along the Breen border. Saren knew what he wanted to do in life, he wanted to be a Marine like his older brother. Without the blessing of his father, Saren joined the Imperial Marines. leaving home probably never to return.
