The USS Terra Nova is an 8th year play-by-email sim set in the year 2378 (October) -- three years after the conclusion of the Dominion War. The setting is a Defiant Class starship in the far reaches of space, and her creative environment follows the Star Trek universe as depicted in the many television series and follow-up motion pictures.

The Terra Nova's primary mission is scouting/exploration, however, she also provides occassional defensive muscle as needed. She is one of the many Defiant Class starships converted to other uses following the Dominion War.

Her current assignment is to the borders of unexplored Space -- particularly the distant area known as the Ryalli Sector. Her primary base of operations is Liberty Station -- the crashed saucer section of a Galaxy Class starship. She's cut off from Federation space. Her supplies are limited. Her quarters cramped. This is her story. And you are her crew.
