BACKGROUND:
Andrew, or Andy as he is known to his friends, grew up wanting to be a pilot in Starfleet. At the age of 16 he opted to join Starfleet in the enlisted ranks rather than go to university or Starfleet Academy. That year he was given his first posting as an Astrometrics Liaison, working in the Conn department aboard the USS Dakota, a Constellation Class vessel.

In 2350 he was promoted directly to Petty Officer 2nd Class from Crewman and transferred to Spacedock 1 (Earth Orbital Station) to become a Shuttlecraft Navigator and two years later he became a Shuttlecraft Pilot and Chief Petty Officer, transferred to McKinley.

In 2353, he left McKinley and was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer, with the position of Shuttle Pilot on the USS Hathaway, a Constellation Class vessel. He was promoted directly to Master Chief Petty Officer of Starfleet (MCPOSF) two years later and transferred into Shuttlebay Operations aboard the ship.

In 2357, two years following his last reassignment, he was promoted to Warrant Officer 2 and remained in Shuttlebay Operations. In 2360, he finally decided it was time to have a change and applied to Starfleet Academy. He graduated from the Academy in 2363 and was assigned to the USS Denver, an Ensign Flight Operations Officer.

He remained on board the USS Denver, a Yorkshire Class vessel, until 2366, when he left and was promoted to Lieutenant to become Assistant Chief Flight Operations Officer on Starbase 74. He remained their until 2378 and was promoted to Lieutenant Commander in 2374, following a two year course at the Starfleet Command School.

In 2378, he was again promoted to Commander and became Chief Flight & Cargo Operations Officer aboard the USS Victory, a Sovereign Class vessel.

PERSONALITY PROFILE:
Andrew can be shy and reserved when he first meets people, however his outgoing personality soon shines through. He enjoys physical activities and socialising with friends, one of which is Captain Jameson, who he has known for many years. He is straight to the point when on duty and his staff respect him for it. He has no slacking or demotion is the result, he doesn't believe in promoting someone if they can't do the job and relies on both his own instinct and the opinion of others to run his department.
PHYSICAL PROFILE:
Andrew is just under 6 feet tall and is well built and fit for his age. He has always enjoyed athletics from his school days, when he used to beat everyone in the 100m sprint and long jump.
SPECIAL NOTES:
Although Andrew is the second-most senior officer on board, he declined from taking the Executive Officer position because he preferred to manage the department he specialises in. Starfleet would not refuse him promotion because of this and therefore he was still promoted to Commander, however he must take up the Second Officer position in the absence of the Chief Operations Officer.
